Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are. It applies to the technik-alarm.ch website, the online shop and the Technik-Alarm mobile app (iPhone and Android). It complies with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) in force since 1 September 2023.

2. What data do we collect?

When you contact us or request a quote

Surname, first name, company, address, e-mail, phone and the content of your message. We use them only to reply to you, prepare an offer and perform the contract.

When you write to us on WhatsApp

If you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, your phone number, profile name and messages (including photos sent) are processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms and may be transferred outside Switzerland. We use them only to reply to you. If you prefer, you can always reach us by phone or e-mail.

When you buy in the shop

Name, delivery or billing address, e-mail, phone and order details. Card or Twint payments are processed by a specialised, certified payment provider. We never receive or store your card details.

When you use the mobile app

The Technik-Alarm app does not create a customer account and collects no data in the background. The only data processed is what you enter yourself: for an appointment request (name, reference, address, phone, e-mail and description of the problem), recorded on our behalf by our field service software Synchroteam; for a request by e-mail, sent from your own e-mail app; for a call to our on-call team, which goes through your device's Phone app.

The app does not control your alarm system and has no access to your detectors or cameras. The app's own policy is also available here: privacy policy of the app (in French).

When you visit the website

Like any website, our host automatically records technical data (IP address, date and time, pages viewed, browser) to ensure the security and proper functioning of the site. These logs are kept for a limited period, then deleted.

The website uses no advertising cookies or audience measurement tools, and relies on no third-party service for its display.

3. Who do we share your data with?

We never sell your data. We only share it when necessary:

• with our host and IT service providers, who process it on our behalf;
• with our payment provider, for online purchases;
• with Synchroteam, our field service software, for appointment requests;
• with the monitoring centre or response service you have chosen, if your installation is connected to it;
• with the authorities, if required by law.

4. Your data abroad

Some providers (online payment, WhatsApp, Apple and Google app stores) may process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the European Union and the United States. We ensure that these transfers comply with the FADP (countries with adequate protection, or appropriate contractual safeguards).

5. How long do we keep it?

As long as necessary for the intended purpose, then we delete it. Accounting documents (invoices, orders) are kept for 10 years, as required by the Swiss Code of Obligations.

6. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access limited to those who need it, back-ups.

7. Your rights

You may at any time ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to us at info@technik-alarm.ch ; we reply within 30 days.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch.

We may update this policy. The version published on this page applies.
